Validating millions of emails: what changes at scale

Throughput, deduplication, retries and cost control when verifying lists of a million addresses or more.

Split and parallelize

Break big lists into 50,000-row jobs and run them in parallel. Use webhooks instead of tight polling loops.

Dedupe first

Large merged lists often contain meaningful duplicates. Normalize case and whitespace before uploading — Bytecheck does this and charges only for unique rows.

Retry unknowns

Some mail servers greylist or rate-limit. Re-run 'unknown' results after a few hours; many resolve.

Cost

The 1,000,000-credit pack is $225 — $0.225 per 1,000 emails.
